Jesse and Noah will release the single for “Crown Victoria” on Friday, November 1 on Usonia Records, distributed by Select-O-Hits. The EP Leave Love Alone also releases on November 1.
“Crown Victoria” was written by Jesse and Noah, who also produced the single. It was recorded at Cash Cabin Studios in Hendersonville, Tennessee. “Crown Victoria” is the only track the duo recorded at the Cash Cabin.
“We went in and laid it down in December 2019, aiming to go back in early 2020, but of course, that didn’t happen,” explains Jesse. “This track has a slightly different band from the other songs on the EP. Rorey Carroll played bass and sang backup vocals, and Heather Gillis played slide guitar and also lent some backup vocals. We cut and mixed it all in one day since we had a clear idea of what we wanted to do, which was keep it as straightforward as possible.”
Jesse continues, “It falls into the story song category, and being an outlaw story, it felt very fitting to cut it at the Cash Cabin. Noah sang through Johnny’s mic. In the vocal booth, I was standing where there was a picture of Chris Cornell of Soundgarden standing in the same spot, and I felt like my teenage self.”
The single will be available on all audio channels, while the video can be viewed on all video sites. Fans can purchase the single where all digital music is sold and streamed.
